Here Comes Summer

Mon Apr 23, 2007, 7:10 PM
As you may have seen, I've been posting with a bit more frequency as of late. A drawing class helps with that, to be sure. On my own I have trouble ever finishing (and sometimes starting) anything. ;\ Well, there are a number of other drawings I should submit. I'll try to get them on some time soon.

I'm doing well as this semester comes to an end. We'll see how a summer job goes from here.

Revvin' up in '07

Thu Feb 15, 2007, 6:42 PM
Second semester at HCC. Going well, for the time being.

I'm finally taking my first official drawing class. I plan to put at least a few of the things I've done in there up as soon as I get them back. It's starting out pretty well.

Oddly enough, an old friend of mine decided he'd finally get back into school again this year, so we hang out when we can.

The words aren't coming, so I guess I'll end here.

This Journal Thing

Fri Oct 13, 2006, 10:09 PM
It should be painfully obvious to you, by now, that I'm not much of a journaler. Nonetheless, I believe it is past time I wrote a new one.

SMU did not go so well for me. Unfortunately, my brain has trouble prioritizing tasks over long periods of time. What was initially going quite well has since spiraled into nothingness.

On the flip side, I no longer feel so certain that Computer Science is the major for me. I still enjoy the subject, and for those projects I successfuly turned in I was getting full marks (and, on one occasion, extra credit). But, my interest in art has been growing and growing for well over a year now. What was once mere experimentation, trial, and error is turning into a real skill. I think my gallery, meagre as it may be, shows this fairly well.

Now here I am, in community college for the time being, finally taking real art classes for the first time ever. Well, a design class for now, but I plan to expand the list very soon.

Despite the money I'll be paying back in due time, this may not be an all-over bad twist in my life.

  • Mood: Content
  • Listening to: Enya
  • Reading: Nothing Good
  • Watching: Bleach - again - but in English
  • Playing: Nothing, oddly enough
  • Eating: I'd rather not divulge
  • Drinking: Something, I wish

Goodbye, New Zealand

Mon Jan 9, 2006, 9:44 PM
Lessee here...

It's been a while. First semester is over, and winter break nearly is as well. I had a three week vacation in New Zealand which was just plain awesome. If you're able, I recommend it.

I did a few little drawings there, and I wasn't going to put a couple on, but since Yans threatened me, I guess I will. The two in question are MA.

I'm not quite sure how it happened. The last real drawing I did was.. improved but still pretty mediocre in my book, but the new ones are simply great. I just seemed to get nearly everything right. As with almost all of my work, it's pure imagination.

Crazyness and Stuff

Thu Sep 8, 2005, 7:27 AM
Well, me being the fool that I am, I can't help but make new stuff when I'm still working on my previous entries.

Anyway, it seems my work's slowly getting better. Spirit should be pretty awesome when I'm done and satisfied. It's probably a whole 12% done. Golden Dagger's coming very well also. It's a little over half done.

As for my story, while I'm too absentminded to get it done, fool that I am, it has progressed. Whereas last time it was 2/3rds, now it's 3/4ths. Isn't it awesome?! Actually, I think it ended up being longer than my initial guess. If I can get a solid chunk of time to work on this, perhaps after my Rhetoric essay today, I'm sure I can finish it.

Then again, do I want to post it before patching up the leaks in ch 1? They aren't major and it's far less changing than the first time, but I need to do it. A small bit will be added to chapter three at the beginning, where I simply cut out some two days. Other than that it's good as is. Then I'll finally finish chapter four!

Sigh.. Ciao, everyone.
