As the title somewhat says, this was my first ever attempt at shading with charcoal. It was a random-ish still life in my current Drawing 1 class.

It wasn't quite done when I had to stop, but it still came out pretty darn well.

back when I was in the institute, Charcoal wa smy fave media for realistic art. mostly because it is so messy and imperfect, I really loved it. This looks much liek what I used to indulge in, I used ot hate cups though.....

Ha. Yeah, I'm already a bit bored of cups and bottles. I think the two newest ones (which I'll post some time, here) show that. For homework, I picked an interesting vase, a crazy big sand-dollar-like shell, and a big ol' candle. For my last classwork, I did a really nice one of this strange plaster model of a person's jaw - as in, the head JUST below the nose. (Not the bone.) And there was a bottle too. ;o
